Ministry Statement of Sheila Rice:
As a teacher at Trinity First, I want to create a loving and respectful environment in my classroom. Children learn by example so I will strive to exemplify the love God has for us and his forgiveness through my actions and words. I believe all communication should be done in a loving, respectful and caring manner. Sharing God's love through the Bible stories and prayers is critical to a successful day in school. It is my prayer that this school year will bring us all spiritually closer to God.
First Grade: The primary focus of first grade is continuing to build a strong language arts and math skills foundation for future learning. Hands-on activities are utilized whenever possible. Worksheets and workbooks are introduced to students to compliment the curriculum by giving them the opportunity to practice and master educational skills.

Trinity First classrooms are designed towards small group learning. While first graders are considered early childhood learners, they are now ready to begin preparing for more structured learning.
