Dear Second and Third Grade Families,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! I want you to know I am so happy to have your child in my class this year! We will have an exciting, fun filled year of learning. Working as a team we will make the most of this wonderful year of learning and growth.
I would like to take some time to share some of my beliefs as an educator with you. I believe each child is a gift from God. God has given each child a set of unique talents, abilities, and gifts. It is my prayer that God uses me this school year to help your child grow in knowledge and wisdom. It is also my desire to help each child discover and develop the awesome gifts God has given each of them. I look forward to teaching this special group of second and third grade students.
This is my eleventh year here at Trinity First Lutheran. During the past several years I have enjoyed directing the children’s choir and coordinating the Spring Musical, working on the Fall Festival committee, and coordinating the Talent Show. In recent years I have also assisted the basketball teams. I look forward to working with the children of Trinity First in these and many other special events again.
Before coming to Trinity First I taught fourth grade for six years in Collinsville, Illinois at Good Shepherd Lutheran School. Prior to that I taught fourth grade at Our Redeemer Lutheran School in Honolulu, Hawaii. My husband, Todd, is a high school math teacher and a coach. This year he will teach at Lion’s Gate Christian Academy. My husband and I live in Richfield. We are both graduates of Concordia Teacher's College in Seward, Nebraska. In the spring of 2005 I completed a Masters Degree in education from Saint Mary's University. I love to learn and look forward to sharing this love of learning with my students.
Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have any questions or concerns.
Love in Christ,
Mrs. Terri Bentz
