Building and maintaining strong parent relationships is important to the success of our programming. To that end we encourage parents to keep involved. Parent newsletters will be sent home each week, along with a calendar of events. Upcoming events and announcements will also be posted on the parent board outside the preschool classroom. Parent/teacher conferences are held twice during the school year. Every attempt will be make to confer with parents on a daily basis as well.

A letter from the teacher;
Dear Preschool Parents,
I would like to introduce myself as your child's teacher. My name is Nadine Keck. I graduated from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska with a degree in elementary education with an early childhood emphasis. Some of my interests and hobbies (when I have time) include: bike riding, walking, reading, cross stitch, and collecting baskets. I also love to go antiquing. I grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania and am a big Steelers fan. Most of my family still lives there. Now I love my home in Minneapolis.
I am in my tenth year of teaching at Trinity First. Prior to coming here, I taught and directed preschools and child care centers in Pittsburgh, PA and Springfield, IL. Despite the program changes over the years, the commitment to young children has always remained here at Trinity First.
This year I am pleased to teach with our preschool aide, Natalie Kelly. All of us at Trinity First are happy to have her on our team.
I look forward to getting to know all of you and your children in the coming months. Please remember to call me if you ever have any questions or concerns.

Ministry Statement of Nadine Keck:

I believe that each child is a unique creation of God. God made each child special with different backgrounds, abilities, and personalities. That is truly something to be celebrated! Everyday I will make it my mission to see each child as my Savior sees them - as loved, redeemed, and special little individuals. I believe that in working with young children, I may very well be their first introduction to Jesus and the Gospel message. As a result, I will make it my goal to daily emulate my Savior, realizing that I, too, am not perfect and am a redeemed and forgiven child of God. Each day I will build upon the young child's natural enthusiasm and curiosity for all things new as a means of making the Gospel message a personal one in their lives.

I will also make it my mission to see each family as the Savior sees them. I will seek to provide a comfortable classroom environment in which not only children, but their parents and families feel welcome. It is my desire that this preschool program be a blessing to them as well as their children. I will lift a different family up in my personal prayers each week, asking them for specific prayer requests.

I will depend on God for the wisdom, love, and strength to carry on this task, knowing that only because of Him is all this possible.
